Quickstart
Use Mermaid Diagrams for Confluence to quickly create and edit text-based diagrams inside Confluence pages. This guide shows how to insert, edit, and publish a diagram.
Insert a Diagram
Open a Confluence page in Page edit mode.
Start typing
/mermaid-cloudand select the Mermaid Diagrams for Confluence macro from the menu.A Mermaid editor panel will appear.
Enter Mermaid diagram text into the editor.
Click Publish.
You will be prompted to enter a name for the diagram. After naming it, the diagram will be added to the page as a placeholder.
Edit a Diagram
In Page edit mode, click the diagram.
Select Edit from the menu above the diagram.
The Mermaid editor panel will open with the existing source text.
Modify the diagram text and click Update.
The diagram preview will refresh after updating.

Publish the Page
After inserting or editing diagrams, click Publish in the top-right corner of the page.
Diagrams will render in the published page the same way they appear in edit mode.
Viewers can zoom or pan diagrams if needed.
Your diagram is now part of the page content and remains editable on future page edits.
